🚨Announcing our 2024 Fall Course schedule!🚨Don't wait too long to sign up. Most of our classes have a cap on how many students are allowed in the class. We have our classes taking place at the Tsaile (TS) and Shiprock (SR) Campuses, as well, as a few online classes. 🌻

On behalf of the Navajo Cultural Arts Program (NCAP), we would like to invite you to the 8th Annual Navajo Cultural Arts Week Lecture and Awards Reception tomorrow, Wednesday, April 17, from 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm. This event will be held at Dine College Kin Yaa’áanii Library in the R.C. Gorman Collection Room (2nd floor) at the Tsaile Campus. It will also be live streamed on Diné College's social media platform.

Tomorrow evening’s event will include the announcement of Exhibit Awards to our NCAP students through ribbons and public recognition. In addition, to the Exhibit Awards, this year's lecture will be offered by Venancio Aragon, Master Navajo Textile Arts Weaver.

Venancio is a Navajo textile artist from New Mexico. His work draws upon various lesser known and rare Navajo weaving techniques. His signature development is the Expanded Rainbow Aesthetic in which Aragon utilities over 300 colors of weft in his tapestries.

We would like to announce our Navajo Cultural Arts (NCAP) 2024 Exhibit Week! This year the NCAP exhibit will be in-person at the Dine College Kin Yaa’áanii Library in the R.C. Gorman Collection Room in Tsaile, AZ! The exhibit will take place April 15 – April 19, 2024.

The Navajo Cultural Arts Program’s (NCAP) 2024 Exhibit showcases the intergenerational transference of Navajo cultural arts knowledge, skills, and cultural teachings that have transpired through the instruction provided by Diné College’s Master Artists.

Mark your calendars and check out the flyer for the awesome workshops being held by our current NCA Certificate students! Workshops are all IN-PERSON! Please email NCAP Manager at [email protected] to sign up! SPACE IS LIMITED.

We will also have our IN-PERSON Exhibit Awards Ceremony, Lecture by NCAP Navajo Textile Arts Instructor, Venancio Aragon, followed by a small reception, on Wednesday, April 17th at 5:30pm!

Join us as we celebrate another year of showcasing the amazing work that our Diné College NCAP and BFA Weaving & Silversmithing students have accomplished!! ✨
