Buying a banjo for Christmas? How about this Deering Banjos custom built for Kristin Scott Benson that is being auctioned on PacJAM's behalf? The auction closes DECEMBER 10th. Don't wait to bid!
A very special thanks to Kristin. She and Wayne have been great supporters of our program for several years, coming to Tryon Fine Arts Center for concerts and master classes, and even connecting our students with Bela Fleck in January 2020. Our students are thriving - performing across the region on big bluegrass stages - and our program has doubled in size over the last 5 years. That kind of success can't happen without local hometown heroes holding the torch. Thank you Kristin!

An American made first of its kind 2023 Giving Tuesday Banjo inspired by the dedicated work Kristin Scott Benson does through her music and with music education. This banjo is modeled after the popular Artisan Goodtime. Auction goes live Nov 28th 2023

PacJAM teachers and students are representing at IBMA's Wide Open Bluegrass Festival in Raleigh!

Here is the official schedule for the Junior Appalachian Musicians Stage on Martin Street as part of the International Bluegrass Music Association Bluegrass Live! Street Festival sponsored by PNC in downtown Raleigh, NC this weekend. JAM has partnered with this dynamic musical celebration since 2013, when it first came to North Carolina. Please join us this weekend if you can! You can also say Hi to us in the Expo Hall this year! Many thanks to our donors who have helped make this incredible opportunity real for nearly 50 youth and their families.

Very proud of our students who swept the youth band division & our teachers Bob & Amy Buckingham, & Peggy & RD Dean who took 2nd in adult band at Hagood Mill's SC State Oldtime Fiddlers' Convention. Bob took 1st in adult banjo, and our student Sarah Doan won 2nd in youth fiddle!
