The votes are in…the People’s Choice winner is “Ethereal”, a photograph submitted by our very own Roseann Marconi.
Roseann stated, “I knew before entering Segrata Familia in Barcelona that Gaudi envisioned a watercolor wash of light over a century ago. This photograph catches his vision during the sun’s most vibrant mid-day transition. This image is exactly what my iPhone camera saw, and I am honored that it resonated with the TPS voters.”

Did you know Tryon is one of the 66 Main Street designated communities in North Carolina?

The NC Main to Main Trail is a state-wide tourism and economic development initiative highlighting our communities.

Today they will be filming in Tryon from noon to 9 p.m.

TPS will remain open until 7 p.m. tonight! Stop in to catch the final week of our SYMPHONY OF COLORS exhibit and be a part of this exciting NC Main to Main opportunity.

Live music with the Rich Nelson band at 5:00 p.m. at the St Luke's Plaza and Ray Jackson at 7:00 p.m. at the Mirrorball Gallery + Lounge.

From Denise: “I love drawing with colored pencils on drafting film. The texture of the paper is perfect for drawing flowers and their velvety surface. I personally find dying flowers as beautiful as those in full bloom. The viewer can see the culmination of a beautiful life still has grace and beauty at the end.”

It's July and Second Saturday is coming up in a few days!

At TPS, that means Saturday, July 11, from 12 to 3 p.m., Cornelia-Carl Scibetta will be in the gallery demonstrating the art of color pencils.

There are many techniques involved in this medium of Art, such a paper choice, layering, blending, controlled pencil pressure, and more!

Stop in to observe her at work and then see if you can spot which artworks in the exhibit are also done in color pencils.
