Our final three Senior Spotlights go to three special students who have been in the choral program every year since sixth grade.

Rhiley Laminack is a soprano in the Chamber Choir. She has a beautiful, clear tone, and she sings with distinct artistry, but Rhiley’s contributions to our choral program go far beyond her exceptional vocal ability. The sheer number of ensembles with whom she has performed over the past seven years is equaled only by one other student—though Rhiley has not been enrolled in all of them! She so enjoys learning and performing new music that she arranges her schedule to attend rehearsals for ensembles other than her own. Additionally, Rhiley has been a force behind the scenes, often finding work or organization projects to take on with no thought of recognition or any type of personal glory. She is a kind, wonderful person the likes of whom are becoming increasingly rare today. We will miss Rhiley dearly next year, but she has great things in store at Jacksonville State and in the future as an exceptional education teacher, where she will continue to touch lives as she has in our choral program.

Kennedy Sing is a member of the Chamber Choir, in which she is the alto section leader. Her dedication to this program is unquestioned, as she has been enrolled in more choir classes than any other member of this graduating class. Her singing is powerful, clear, and expressive. Kennedy is equally impressive in an ensemble or as a soloist, and she recently sang the role of Eurydice in the HTHS spring production of Hadestown Teen Edition. A gifted musician and an excellent person, Kennedy Sing has been an invaluable member of our choral program for seven years, and we know that she will continue to excel in college and beyond.

Reese Wolfe sings first soprano in the Chamber Choir. Despite her considerable vocal abilities, she remains humble, dedicated, and flexible. Reese has been an integral part of the choir for the past seven years, and we will miss her terribly when she graduates. Still, Reese’s legacy of kindness, scholarship, and artistry will continue in the HTHS Choral Program through the underclassmen she has touched and who look up to her. We look forward to the wonderful things she’ll accomplish in college and beyond!
