Some thoughts I had in the midst of my workday...

Big thanks to and the for having me on this week's episode (wherever you listen to podcasts) and also to my friend for gifting this lovely little offcut of cedar so I can better bring to life the idea I have.

I think I said what I wanted to in this video, but a really big, heartfelt thank you to all the folks who have so warmly welcomed me into this community. There are too many to tag, and I would hate to leave anyone out, so I will just say you know who you are.

Excited to show these works at in June! That show is rapidly approaching and I am excited!

Go gettem.

This lil air blaster is my favorite addition to the studio I've made all year. Anyone working in dusty areas - highly recommend. Getting that tool this clean with a brush is nearly impossible, and with a shop vac it takes considerably longer. Love this thing.

As "Sun, Sand & Sculpture" get closer and closer, I move to a visual guide in the studio. This paper is on my dustroom door (the place in my studio where I do most of the actual sculpting) so I'm passing it many times a day. Without this visual reminder of where pieces are on the "production line" it's easy for me to think I'm far further ahead or behind than I actually am. This allows me also to keep all these different works in my mind, and not get over-focused on just one thing.

I like to see things laid out. When I'm working in this way, it reminds me of a wonderful song by Cake with the lycric "writing your own headlines, ignoring your own deadlines". I don't plan on doing any ignoring, and they're not entirely my own.

I'm excited about the work that's coming together to head down to in a couple weeks. Hope to see you there. The collection will also be available online.

Studio Visits by appointment.
