Hello friends. I'll be bringing some prints to the Trumansburg Farmers Market this evening. It is the last outdoor market of the season.

There isn't much to say about the content of this print. Existence precedes structures. Empathy is essential to humanity.

I printed about 200 of these linoleum cuts and would love to share a few with anyone open to receiving. Send me an address. There is healing in the making and sharing.

Some vendors will distribute them at the market. Thank you.

I have no answers. However, being concerned with the state of my soul (so to speak), doing nothing is not an option.

I’ve been making and sharing serendipitous art for four years now — often leaving small pieces to be discovered in random spots around the village of Trumansburg, NY.

Mostly, this works great. People find and connect with the art pretty easily. But I do get the “What is it?” question sometimes, and so for this most-recent run of prints I made a little note to go along with it…

The question I am pondering today is how to witness without anger.

Eight years ago I was working on a project that became corrupted by rage. No regrets: Without that "failure" I would not be asking this question today. And the anger that seemed to infuse me was just a muddled reflection of love. Understandable and innocent.

Today though, now. A new project, and that familair sense of bearing witness to a burning world.

I do not want to look away. But acting, creating, from anger only continues the suffering, even if in subtle ways.
