THS Theatre and Performing Arts department provides an outlet to theater for the students at THS.

Get ready for a spooky night full of talent and entertainment!
Our whole fine arts department is coming together for a wonderful one night showcase. Featuring performances from the Theater, band , and choir departments along with an art show from the art department.
These auditions listed below will be to help cast students in the roles for the theater portion of the showcase.
My goal with the theater portion is to Intertwine 4 spooky broadway show characters into a broader story line. They are coming to tell us the side of their stories that they want us to know and will lave you to decide what to do with them.
Students wishing to audition should bring either a song portion of their choice or a small dance routine if they would like a dance solo.
This is for all high school students who wish to audition.

Shows that I plan to pull from is Addams Family, Sweeney Todd, Little shop and Beetle juice!

We had an Amazing time last night at the 2026 Orpheum High School Musical Awards!
Out of 58 participating school spanning across 3 states , were incredibly honored to have received three nominations for our spring musical The Wizard of Oz! With that being the first time THS has ever participated in this competition that’s a huge accomplishment to have received any nominations and we received not one but three!! To my knowledge we were also one of the smallest schools that participated. Our Students, Families, and community should be proud that our School is being recognized for our accomplishments and hard work in Theater!
We had two students who had the honor and privilege to represent THS and perform on the Orpheum stage! Huge shout out and congratulations to Gage Cubit and Chelsea Martinez! I am so proud of you two!!
Theater is more than a class or a past time it’s an art form that is shaping our world and future. It’s an art form that produces leadership, public speaking, respect, and determination. And I am so honored to be the educator here at THS that I get to help foster this learning for every student that walks onto the stage.
We were up against the best of the best in this competition and although we did not bring home an award we brought home determination and a hunger to strive to be even better next year. Before we ever left the Orpheum several of my students were already talking and asking how soon we could get started and what all we needed to do to make it to the orpheum stage next year!
This is only the beginning for theater at THS! See you next year HSMAs! The Wildcats are coming back!

Congratulations to the cast and crew of The Wizard of Oz for our nominations for the Orpheum theaters high school musical theater awards! We will find out on May 21st if we will bring home an award for our nominations. Help us celebrate these nominations!

We are so excited to celebrate all the accomplishments of our amazing theater students and also announce the 2026-2027 show season!
We hope that you can join us this Friday night April 17th at 7:00 in the THS Auditorium for a night full of performances, awards and recognition!
