We are excited to announce the return of the TOPOS Music Festival, September 2–5, 2026!

What does music know about us that we don’t yet know about ourselves?

TOPOS returns as a space for gathering, inquiry, and discovery. Across four days of performances, live podcasts, film screenings, and conversation, the festival creates occasions for deepened listening and critical encounters: music as a means of articulating that which resists articulation. Mark your calendars!

Featuring Vijay Iyer, Wadada Leo Smith, Miho Hatori, Edward George, Fred Moten, Paul Abbott, Improv Spaces, Rock City Falls Trio, Sun Dogs, and The Silent Light. Curated by Amadeus Julian Regucera.

Full-body gratitude to all our audiences, participants, artists, and partners, for your joyful and thoughtful presence at the inaugural Corpus Festival last week!

This year’s theme was about space, body, and formations of power and played out all over the building. Next year, Corpus Fest will be back with new ideas and new artworks to share, but in the meantime, peek into the temporary world we made together at EMPAC with a few selections from our camera roll!

It’s not too late to catch the last two lobby installations: Meg Foley & Carmichael Jones’s Primordial and Kate Ladenheim’s Monumental Death, on view weekdays 11AM–5PM through May 8.

04/23/2026

The inaugural Corpus Festival opens today! Whether you stop through to visit the installations and Book Bar or RSVP for performances and talks, everything is free to attend.

Corpus Festival welcomes Troy’s own Yellow Lab Vintage & Books for a pop-up bookstore and reading lounge at EMPAC. Curated by Jessica DuPont alongside festival artists and the curator, the space features titles exploring space, place, performance, and embodiment.

Settle into the lounge with a drink from Evelyn’s Café and browse a mix of new and used books for sale, alongside artists’ personal, annotated copies on display. A place to linger, read, and connect with the ideas shaping the festival.

Community Supper (SOLD OUT!)

Corpus Festival opens with a gathering.

Co-hosted by Yanira Castro, this free, family-style long-table supper brings together artists and collaborators from across Troy and the Capital Region for an evening of shared food, conversation, and care.

Featuring Indonesian-inspired dishes by Chef Ria Ibrahim, healing beverages from YesFolk Tonics, and creative contributions by Jude Abu Zaineh and Taína Asili, the supper centers storytelling, nourishment, and the act of coming together.

This event is already at capacity, but we’re excited to share the artists and partners who make it possible, and to invite you to explore the many other events happening throughout the festival!
