Guess what? MAKE ART TROY gets to host a very creative group from the Pike County Art Guild tonight. Huge thanks to Jerry Johnson for facilitating the event and for being a great neighbor. His studio is located just next door to us at Sienna Cloud in Downtown Troy Alabama.

Summer Spectacular Art Camp was just that… SPECTACULAR!!!

We absolutely loved having these young artists join us this past week as we drew, painted, splattered, molded clay, cut, collaged and created together!

Families, thank you for sharing this precious, precious group of children with me. The week after my mother passed away was a tough one. These sweet kids reminded me of what a gift it is to teach. My mother was a fantastic teacher. I only hope I share the love of teaching with my students the way she did.

Week 2 of Summer Art Camps wrapped up this week at MAKE ART TROY with our “Little Artists” group! We made our own painted papers for our collages, we read, we sculpted, we drew, we cut, glued, and strung all kinds of designs.

This was our youngest group of art campers! 🐛

Tomorrow we kick off our “Little Artists” Summer Art Camp at MAKE ART TROY. 🎉 We love incorporating a little literature and science into our projects. We will be working with painted papers and gather inspiration from the fantastic Eric Carle this week. “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” 🐛 was our our FAVORITE book ever when we were kids!!!

Can’t wait to dive in to new projects and introduce them to our 5 & 6 year olds this week at MAKE ART TROY!
