Troy Foundry Theatre We are a professional theatre company in Troy, New York. We seek to create theatre driven by inquiry. We inquire. We mould.

We are Troy Foundry Theatre; we explore the social issues of today by collaborating with a variety of artists from multiple disciplines to produce and perform new work and reinterpreted classics through the means of new writing, devising and immersive performances. We create.

***Vaccination and Mask Policy***
For the safety of the actors and guests, masks must be worn at all times. Guests will n

eed to be fully vaccinated with an FDA or WHO authorized vaccine in order to attend a show and must show proof of vaccination at their time of entry into the theatre with their valid ticket. “Fully vaccinated” means the performance date must be at least 14 days after the second dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine, or at least 14 days after a single-dose COVID-19 vaccine. Exceptions are being made for people with a medical condition that prevents vaccination. These guests must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the performance start time, or a negative COVID-19 antigen test taken within 6 hours of the performance start time.

We are seeking submissions for the 2026 Half-Baked Festival of Emerging Work. Now in its fourth year, this fest celebrates the unfinished, the audacious, and the revolutionary in theatre-making. Half-Baked exists to support projects that are searching, questioning, transforming, and taking creative risks. If your work is strange, ambitious, unsettling, genre-defying, impossible to categorize, or beautifully unfinished, we want to see it.

For this year’s festival, we are particularly interested in
projects inspired directly or indirectly by genres and themes like: Horror, body horror, cosmic terror, folk horror, gothic horror, romantic horror, psychological thriller, dystopia, speculative fiction, monsters, hauntings, transformation, s*x and death, the uncanny, apocalypse, grief, obsession, desire, and the grotesque.

And/Or by creators and writers like:
Angela Carter, Ari Aster, Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, Carmen Maria Machado, Caryl Churchill, Curry Barker, David Cronenberg, Guillermo del Toro, Han Kang, Helen Oyeyemi, H.P. Lovecraft, Jackie Sibblies Drury, Jane Schoenbrun, Jennifer Kent, Jeremy O. Paine Castle has returned to business as usual — no longer whispering the secrets of Americana Cosplay through its corridors or shivering with the particular electricity of an audience member holding its breath in a room that time forgot. Our latest production has packed up, the Die-Cast team has returned to Philadelphia (and beyond), and we’ve surrendered those magnificent rooms back to the Fraternity brothers and the March cold. But not before reminding every single person who wandered through Americana Cosplay that we are thankful for your time, participation, support, and engagement. You are what makes this theatre go round!

Spring is creeping up the Hudson, the days are getting longer, the forsythia is about to make its annual dramatic entrance, and there is something almost unbearably hopeful about this time of year — the way the world insists, against all evidence of the long winter, that beautiful things are not only possible but inevitable. And we feel exactly the same way about what’s coming next for TFT.

As always, you know we have fun, exciting, slightly unhinged new work on the horizon, in found spaces with stories aching to be told, and we cannot wait to share them with you. It does, however, require your support to keep going. Specifically, it requires a donation — offered freely and with the same wild trust you’ve shown us in the past when we’ve said “pick a room” or “follow an actor” with little to no other directive. That trust you give us is everything!

If it feels like we are always asking for money, we are! Making ends meet as a small not-for-profit theatre company that supports the creation and presentation of new plays in Upstate New York is HARD, and it gets harder every single day.
