Shutting this year dooooooown! 🥳

We are so ready for what’s to come, and even though 2021 was a rough year to launch events or a business (remember when we started in a vacant Price Chopper in the middle of a global pandemic?!?!), we actually love recapping bc overall we wouldn’t change a single thing…well maybe that rain could have moved on a bit 😆

⭐️ hundreds of small businesses partnered with, promoted, and developed
⭐️ ~50 events held in the Capital Region this year alone
⭐️ multiple community building initiatives including school supply drives, food drives, support for children needing foster care, support for Capital Region women and families, partnership with several non profits
⭐️ building a network of badass artists, makers, musicians, and friends

Yeah 2021 you were alright. We watched so many micro manufacturers and biz owners grow and succeed. We saw dreams become reality. We were a part of those tiny little embers of hope born from what felt like the whole world burning down. And we grew and grew. 🔥

So what’s next 2022? Bc we know we’ve got this. Stay safe and rest up, friends. We’ve got work to do 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

Thank you for inviting us to pop up at your holiday event today! We loved reconnecting with our Midday Marketplace friends who were all so gracious and in the best of spirits 🥰

We are popping up one last time for this ENTIRE YEAR, so come grab some MIUS local good 😍😀

Lunchtime goodies & spirits, jewelry, health & beauty, woodworking, candles, stocking stuffers, chair massage, energy readings, and more!

Tuesday, December 21 from 11am-1pm.

This event is open to the public AND it will be the first day of the Best of SUNY Student Art Exhibition.

About the show: It is open to all 64 campuses and the students on those campuses. Each campus was permitted to submit up to seven pieces to the exhibition. All submissions are now being shown in the first floor arcade, where the marketplace will be.

Top pieces will be selected by independent judges in the spring. The top three submissions get a $1,000 scholarship, and there are four runners up who get $500 each.

We could go on and on and on, what a day, and weekend, we had 😻

Thank you times a million to everyone who came to downtown Troy to stroll. We saw happy faces, and amazing wardrobes, everywhere! You all are really the coolest! 🤩

Our makers loved the and what’s not to love? If you got to take a tour, you know what we mean. Makers, creative nerds, artists—whatever you call us—rule! 🤟🏼

Here’s a quick recap of some of our members’ work:

with unique jewelry, Horizon Scribe with various coolness, and yes, the skeleton in that reindeer ornament is made with glow-in-the-dark thread, Any1 Can Craft (not pictured but maybe you offered some market research at her booth for her machine prototype), and who blew our mind with their customizable portable printing kit.

The snow ball throwing creature is a beep beep from who was literally making these on the spot to keep up with our Holidaze shoppers. We’ll count it as made at the COG 😉

Once again, thank you to everyone involved with this weekend’s fun 😘special shout outs to Troy, NY - City Hall and all of the city staff and Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce for hosting Rensselaer County Rensselaer County Tourism YWCA of the Greater Capital Region and anyone else we missed.
