Yesterday was my fourth HVCC Commencement providing FOH mixing and marks the start of my forth year working with the amazing team at the college. From my talented partners of the AV crew to the event organizers, facilities & grounds crews, catering & security, this group always rallies together to put on top notch events! Live guitar stylings of Kinloch Nelson, a Rochester based guitarist, in the auditorium of BTC at HVCC for the lunchtime concert series including music featuring his “Harp Guitar”. These are some iPhone grabs from today’s Aha taping of the Ky McClinton Band. Fyi there’s no PA mix in the room, so tune into WMHT on Wednesdays to see them when the final audio mix and studio video airs! I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know these guys over the past year while playing with and trust me, they put on a killer concert every time!

Was such an uplifting and enjoyable day of recording audio with the great team at WMHT and our newest lineup of regional musical guests for Aha: A House for arts. We kicked off the day with the thought provoking lyrics and Americana stylings of Reese Fulmer & the Carriage House Band followed by the rich & soulful vibes and killer jams of the Ky McClinton Band. We wrapped up this round of recording with the rocking blues & funk energy of the Berkshires based group, Misty Blues. Three distinct genres, each with their unique original style- it was a pleasure recording them all and I can’t wait to start mixing! I’ll be posting iPhone vids of each group soon as a teaser, but be sure to tune in for each of them on WMHT’s Aha Wednesdays at 7:30 or stream online.
