Upper Valley Fiber Guild

Upper Valley Fiber Guild Located in Miami County, we welcome all interested in the fiber arts from across west-central Ohio. If it has to do with the fiber arts, we are interested!

Our members weave, knit, crochet, tat, spin, dye, quilt - and more. The UVFG was organized in 1980. Our monthly meetings are usually workshop and demonstration centric. In addition, we support several area "living history" events, demonstrating crafts like weaving and spinning. Our Guild also sponsors a booth at local fiber festivals and craft shows providing a sales outlet for guild members. Meet

ings are held on the first Saturday of the month, from 10am - 2pm at Hayner Cultural Center, Troy, OH. We meet September through June, using the summer for social events and fiber festivals. In past seasons, we enjoyed workshops on, knitting, card/tablet weaving, rigid heddle weaving, carding/fiber preparation, dyeing, tatting, paper making (what? a different fiber, really!), and more! We've also visited local fiber mills and participated in local craft and fiber festival event sales. Occasionally, we meet off-site for a special workshop or event.
