✨🎭 Trinity High School Theatre Update 🎭✨

The year is already off to an amazing start! Our theatre classes are full of incredible students, and we had 68 students show up for our Theatre Interest Meeting – and every single one signed up to be part of the magic!

The creativity, collaboration, and excitement happening in class right now is unmatched, and the energy for our new season is absolutely sizzling.

We can’t wait to kick off auditions for our fall play, Lost Girl, this Tuesday! Stay tuned for more info on theatre sponsorships and announcements about our 2026-2027 Theatre season coming soon.

🎭✨ THE STAGE IS SET… AND WE’RE BACK! ✨🎭

Tomorrow morning, the doors open and a brand new year of Trinity High School Theatre officially begins!

The theatre building is ready. The classroom is ready. The stage is waiting. And now, all we need is YOU!

We have spent the summer dreaming, planning, preparing, and getting everything ready for what we hope will be one of our most exciting years yet. We cannot wait to fill these halls again with laughter, creativity, music, friendships, ridiculous theatre moments, big ideas, and LOTS of memories.

Whether tomorrow is your very first day as part of Trinity Theatre or you're walking back through these doors for another year, we hope this place feels like home.

Because this year is going to be an EXPERIENCE!

🎭✨ Welcome Back, Thespians! ✨🎭

The stage is set, the lights are coming up, and a brand-new year of Trinity High School Theatre is officially here! We are so excited to kick off our 56th Season and continue the incredible legacy of theatre at THS!

This season, we’re stepping into a world of Myths, Memories, and Monsters as we bring three unforgettable stories to the stage.

From our first rehearsal to our final curtain call, this year will be filled with incredible performances, new friendships, theatre traditions, special events, and memories that will last long after the lights go down.

Whether you’re returning to the THS Theatre family or stepping onto our stage for the very first time, there is a place for YOU here. We cannot wait to see what our students create together during this legendary 56th season.

There is no better classroom than a live theatre. This weekend, our Trinity High School Theatre Leadership Team (along with several of our theatre alumni) had the incredible opportunity to attend Ordinary Days at Winston-Salem Theatre Alliance and cheer on one of our very own, Mr. Barnes, in the role of Warren.

What an unforgettable evening! Ordinary Days is a beautiful reminder that the ordinary moments in life often become the most extraordinary. It is a story about connection, hope, and finding beauty in the everyday—and this cast told it with such honesty, heart, and joy.

Following the performance, our students participated in a special talkback with Mr. Barnes and the cast, asking questions about the rehearsal process, character development, and life as a performer. Experiences like these provide invaluable learning opportunities, allowing our students to connect classroom learning with professional theatre in a meaningful way.

We are incredibly proud to offer opportunities like this to our students and to help them experience live theatre beyond our own stage.

Special congratulations to the outstanding cast of Ordinary Days—Jackson Barnes, Haley Fredwall, Amir Cooper, and Hayley Bales—and to director John C. Wilson. Thank you for sharing your incredible talent, artistry, and wisdom with our students. Your generosity made this an experience they won't soon forget.

If you haven't had the chance to see Ordinary Days, we cannot recommend it enough. Be sure to catch the final weekend of performances at Winston-Salem Theatre Alliance. It's a truly special production.

🎭✨ Trinity High School Theatre Proudly Presents Our 56th Anniversary Season: "Myths, Memories, and Monsters" ✨🎭

This year, we’re celebrating 56 incredible seasons of theatre at Trinity High School with a season that invites audiences into worlds where legends come alive, memories shape who we become, and monsters are not always what they seem. Our 2026–2027 season, "Myths, Memories, and Monsters," explores the stories we tell, the ones we inherit, and the ones we choose to create.

From reimagined fairy tales and unforgettable journeys of healing to a magical adventure filled with courage and imagination, this season celebrates the power of storytelling and the extraordinary found within ordinary people.

🌙 FALL PLAY: Lost Girl
Dates: November 12–15, 2026
What happens after happily ever after? Lost Girl offers a fresh and imaginative reimagining of the Peter Pan story through the eyes of Wendy Darling as she returns to Neverland one final time. Filled with adventure, nostalgia, and heart, this moving play explores growing up, letting go, and rediscovering the magic that never truly leaves us.

🌧️ WINTER ONE ACT: Sometimes the Rain, Sometimes the Sea
Dates: February 18–20, 2027
Inspired by the timeless folklore of Hans Christian Andersen, Sometimes the Rain, Sometimes the Sea is a whimsical, heartfelt comedy about an unlikely friendship between a lonely human and a curious little rain cloud. Together, they embark on a magical journey in search of hope and connection, discovering that even life's stormiest days can lead to unexpected joy.

📚 SPRING MUSICAL: Matilda
Dates: May 13–16, 2027
We close our season with a magical celebration of imagination, courage, and standing up for what is right! Based on the beloved story by Roald Dahl, Matilda follows an extraordinary young girl who discovers that intelligence, kindness, and a little bit of magic can change the world. Packed with unforgettable songs, larger-than-life characters, and heartwarming moments, this musical is perfect for audiences of all ages.

🎭 That's a Wrap! Thank You, Trinity Theatre! 🎭

What a year it has been for Trinity High School Theatre! As we close the curtain on this unforgettable season, we want to take a moment to celebrate all that we've accomplished and thank the incredible community that made it possible.

This season was filled with milestones that we will never forget:
✨ Three successful productions
✨ Record-breaking audiences
✨ Over 100 theatre sponsors supporting our program
✨ Full theatre classes both semesters
✨ A thriving program of more than 80 student artists
✨ Five professional theatre field trips
✨ And, for the first time in over a decade, Trinity High School Theatre was crowned NC State Thespian Festival State Champions!

None of this would have been possible without the amazing people who make our program so special.

To our students, parents, Drama Boosters, community volunteers, sponsors, Trinity High School faculty and staff, and everyone who attended a performance, donated, volunteered, cheered us on, or believed in what we do—thank you. Your support has allowed our students to dream bigger, work harder, and create unforgettable theatre together.

We truly have something special here at Trinity. The arts are alive, thriving, and continuing to grow because of this incredible community.

Thank you for making this one of the most successful seasons in the history of Trinity High School Theatre. We are so grateful for every person who has been part of this journey.

We are thrilled to share that the cast of The Amish Project was recently recognized by the Randolph County Board of Education for their incredible achievement of winning First Place at the North Carolina State Thespian Festival, earning the title of 2026 NC State Thespian Festival State Champions!

During the Board of Education meeting, our students were honored by the Superintendent and the Randolph County Board of Education for their outstanding performance, dedication, and commitment to excellence in theatre at Trinity High School. As part of this special recognition, the cast was presented with the Pride of Randolph County Schools Award, celebrating their remarkable accomplishments and the positive way they represented our school, community, and county.

This production was more than a competition piece—it was a story that challenged audiences, inspired meaningful conversations, and showcased the extraordinary talent, passion, and heart of our students.

Congratulations to the entire cast of The Amish Project! We will forever be proud of each of you and this unforgettable production. You have made Trinity High School Theatre history, and your legacy as State Champions will continue to inspire future generations of Bulldogs.

One year ago, Trinity High School Theatre launched a new tradition dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich history of our program through the creation of the Trinity High School Theatre Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame was established to honor the individuals whose passion, artistry, leadership, and unwavering dedication have shaped Trinity Theatre across generations. From performers and technicians to directors, educators, alumni, and advocates, these honorees represent the very best of what our program stands for.

As we continue this tradition, we are proud to announce the second class of the Trinity High School Theatre Hall of Fame. These remarkable individuals have made lasting contributions to our program and helped build the legacy of excellence that continues to inspire students today.

🎭✨ End of Year Theatre Banquet Recap! ✨🎭

What an unforgettable evening we shared at The Renavelle Event Center! More than 150 thespians, families, alumni, and supporters gathered to celebrate an extraordinary year of theatre, leadership, and achievement. What a season it has been!

The evening began with our Troupe Awards, recognizing students who have demonstrated outstanding excellence in performance, technical theatre, and dedication to the art of theatre.

🏆 Outstanding Thespians: Bella Reddick and Caiden Brown

🏆 Excellence in Tech Theatre: Allye Willis and Davin Woodgeard

🏆 Rookie of the Year: Bryson Curry, Chloe Letterman, and Devon Redmer

We then presented our Special Honors Awards, which recognize students whose creativity, leadership, academic achievement, and commitment have made a lasting impact on our theatre family.

One of the most meaningful moments of the evening was presenting our Community Impact Awards, honoring individuals whose unwavering support helps make Trinity High School Theatre possible.

🌟 Heart and Soul Award: Westley and Tabitha Gray, THS Theatre Custodians

We are also thrilled to celebrate a record-breaking milestone as 28 students were inducted into the International Thespian Society and Troupe 4305! Additionally, 16 students earned the distinction of Honors Scholar Thespian, recognizing their exceptional achievement and commitment to theatre education.

Trinity High School Theatre also recognized Faculty members Johanna Clement, Mindy Thornlow, and Leslie Zimmerman as Honorary Thespians. These ladies were awarded this special honor for the outstanding dedication, support, and unwavering belief in our program. We are honored to have them as a part of our Troupe family!

Congratulations as well to Jackson Barnes and Amy Todd, our dedicated Troupe Directors. We are incredibly proud of the leadership that continues to guide and inspire our students.

A heartfelt thank you goes to The Dupin Family, THS Drama Boosters, La Hacienda of High Point, Costco Bakery, Winners Circle, and the North Carolina Chapter of the International Thespian Society for helping make this celebration possible. Your generosity and support mean the world to our program.

As we close another remarkable chapter, we celebrate not only the awards and accomplishments, but also the friendships, memories, growth, and experiences that make theatre so special.
