Last week, the PITCHBLACK Education team visited in Queens, New York.

Our PITCHBLACK Immersive workshops are multisensory theatrical experiences that seek to create accessible spaces where touch, taste, smell & sound enhance connection, grow empathy, increase awareness and ignites the imagination.

With original storytelling and teambuilding activities, these workshops invite participants to experience the world through alternative senses, offering a perspective beyond traditional theatre.

To have our work in the education field recognized as valuable by the city is deeply meaningful. This support allows us to continue exploring immersion, perception, and the unseen — and to keep inviting audiences into the dark.

📣Exciting news: we’re honored to announce that we’ve received a grant from /FY2025 Cultural Development Fund (CDF)!!
Art and culture are the heart and soul of New York, contributing to a safer, stronger, more vibrant city. We’re proud to be among 1,078 organizations receiving over $59 million through the CDF - the largest-ever city allocation for the program, thanks to the partnership between the NYC Mayor’s Office and the City Council.

This investment in our work will help us bring programs to members of our community. This CDF grant will support our mission of achieving a sustained development of new forms of arts that promote awareness and inclusion.
