I was so fortunate to be a company member with The Washington Ballet under the direction of Mary Day, Artistic Director and resident choreographer Choo San Goh,
In the Glow of the Night was the first ballet I learned. The iconic Fives , Momentum and others

Razor-sharp precision. High-voltage athleticism. Patterns so bold they redefined what ballet could look like.

When Mary Day invited Choo San Goh to DC in 1976, she brought in a visionary who would help shape our company’s artistic future. Over the next decade, Goh created an entirely original repertoire grown right here from the ground up—putting TWB on the map with his electrifying style.

His legacy comes full circle this fall as we open our 50th Season with his breathtaking work, Configurations, featured in Go-Go 50 this Oct 30-Nov 1.
