Aeternum’s focus was on its crystal chamber. With the development of saber tech becoming even more feature rich than it already is. Blade ID was the inspiration to push the saber forward. While blade ID can be applied to any saber with an internal connector, not all work well or support the idea of crystal chamber mode being integrated into the saber’s functionality. With the right programming this saber can enter different states depending on your personal taste.

Crystal chamber mode is being demoed using sound font “calibrate” and the saber aspects are sound fonts.

Aeternum is the first exclusive saber release by Sabers Forever. This run is comprised of 50 unserialized sabers. It will be sold empty and retail at $250 USD. The product is viewable on SabersForever.com and will become available to purchase 4.10.26 at 10pm EST. A breakdown video and normal talking head youtube video will be released later today before the release of Aeternum. Additional services for those that would like to include a chassis or get the saber installed is also available on the website at the time of release. Anyone who has been to my website or followed me for a while should be familiar with Jason’s work by now. Even though he has dressed my entire website with art, I am beyond grateful that he agreed and had the time to help contribute to this run. Jason’s style from the moment I discovered it immediately left an impression. Fun while still keeping an edge of grit, mystery and intrigue. Thank you again to Jason for your time and skill.

Aeternum’s chassis is designed to show off the key feature of the saber. This fully removable chassis holds a real double pointed quartz crystal measuring 30-33mm in length (crystal included with the saber). When installed, the crystal is lit from both sides using Neopixel accents. The chassis holds a proffieboard, 21700 battery and 31mm speaker. This saber is loud AND has killer battery life. The chassis has been tested and installed using 20awg PTFE wire for power if you are interested in using higher pixel count blades. Aeternum has two options for its activation box. The box supplied with Aeternum is spring loaded and comes with a replica PCB to depress the plungers for button actuation. For those that want more of an original trilogy feel, a vintage/replica style Graflex clamp can be placed on the saber. While it is not spring loaded, a custom plunger system has been designed for the use of a Graflex clamp. This collaboration is brought to you by and more updates following in the coming days!

Aeternum was designed to utilize one of proffieboard’s new features “Blade ID”. With the right programming this feature paired with Aeternum allows the saber to go into a different operating state when the chamber is open. When the chamber is closed, the blade ignites and the saber functions as shown in the films. When the chamber is open, the sounds change to clicks and hums as if honing your crystal or calibrating your saber.
