How do I start? The first painting became the second. I loved the first version, but the clarity and texture of it just wouldn’t come thru in photos or videos. And for the most part, I only get my work seen online. Not complaining, but I don’t want to put hours into a piece that can only be seen by me. So I kept working!
But also, I had worked so long on the first version that when it started coming together, I was relieved, I liked it, so I stopped. It wasn’t finished though, and this always happens when I get ahead of myself. I should practice more letting myself and the painting rest before calling it. But I am now finished, and I like the second version too.
