As the state is opening up, it's time to move forward with this, so we're announcing our first show:

Mike Agranoff will be appearing on August 22nd.

Less a singer-songwriter than a singer-songfinder, Mike takes great delight in discovering the little-known hidden gems, polishing them with his own distinctive style, and bringing them to the light of day where they sparkle. He will shift from beautifully contemplative, to uproariously funny, to instrumentally brilliant, to powerfully emotional in the space of a few minutes.

NJ has just allowed indoor live performances at 50% capacity.

The room these will be held in is 17x9' which is 153 sq ft.

According to this site (https://www.socialtables.com/blog/event-planning/capacity-party-space-calculator/), we need to allow "6 to 8 square feet per person" for "Theater or auditorium style seating". This means we can hold 19 to 26 (non-COVID), or 10 to 13 under current conditions.

Alternately, I have a Gazebo in my backyard which would make a good bandstand, so on sunny days, we can allow even more.

I'm still building my cache of folding chairs, but woth these we can show that -- once we're allowed to get close again -- we should be able to easily fit 4 rows of 5. 5 rows might be crowding tje performer too much.

OK, Time to get started planning my house concert series. I figure I'll be ready to start mid-Summer to Fall --- pretty much when the rest of the world is ready for live concerts again. But I figured I'd alert my performer friends now.
Details:
Name: It's not really in a school library. It'll be at my house on School Lane in Trenton, in a room I've designated "the Library")

Location: In the very suburban northwest corner of the city -- The backyard actually abuts a state park).

Access:
By Car: Approx. one hour drive from Jersey side of Holland or Lincoln Tunnel. About 45 mins drive from Philidelphia (haven't driven that yet to confirm).
By Public Transportation: Very close (I can pick you up) to the Trenton Transit Center which has hourly trains from NY Penn Station. Even closer to the SEPTA West Trenton terminal, which has hourly trains from Philidelphia city center.

Venue: Total open space (performer & audience) in the room is 17'x9'. Performer space is approx. 7'x9'. A vintage Wurlitzer upright piano is available. The room has a good-quality home stereo.

Accommodations: Three available beds in three rooms (a trundle and two sleeper couches), so up to six staying overnight. (Beyond that, I have air mattresses)
