Friends, It's later than we promised, as we have been agonizing over this, watching the weather, flipping coins, discussing, and the end result is, we have to make decision based on good sense, practicality and precaution over valor and emotion. We have costume, set and prop pieces that cannot get wet, and the gamble is too great. Therefore, we have to cancel this evening. This breaks our hearts but, given the challenges this production has had, it's par for the course and we are VERY GRATEFUL to have had at least one performance for a wonderful audience. This is NOT the end for Riverside however. Please stay tuned for some great winter activities!!!! Thank you all for your patience and support!!!!! Please feel free to email us with any questions. Hello all!! So far, it’s looking good for us! We’ll Make the final call at around 4pm today. But we’re planning on doing the play, and hope you’ll

Good friends and loyal companions of Riverside Shakespeare,
Once more we find ourselves at the mercy of wayward skies, whose humors shift and tumble like spirits in Prospero’s charge.

Know this: our company keeps vigilant watch upon the heavens, studying each cloud as though it were a page in the Bard’s own script. Should the winds behave and the rains show mercy, we shall conjure The Tempest upon Hannah Park this very evening, at 6:00 PM.

But if the elements grow unruly, we must bow to nature’s will.
Thus, a final decree shall be made by 4 o’clock this day, announcing whether tonight’s performance may proceed or must be stilled.

Hear ye, dear friends of Riverside Shakespeare!

The winds grow restless, the clouds gather in mischief, and the island stirs. As we approach our August 29 and 30 performances of The Tempest, Riverside Shakespeare keeps vigilant watch upon the weather’s wild humors.

Like mariners caught in Prospero’s storm, we must wait upon nature’s will. Thus, our decision to sail forth or stay ashore will be made at the very last minute, and announced as late as prudence allows.
