Being trusted to be a part of honoring those you've lost is a sacred honor. A tattoo won't cure grief, but it can help you take ownership of it. You can't make it go away, but you can do things to ensure your life grows around it.

Grand Traverse County. Maybe I'm just late to the game but I just went to renew my Body Art Operator license and realized it's no longer a requirement to be licensed in the county. I love freedom and minimal regulation where it makes sense, but this blows my mind.

Literally anyone can walk into a tattoo studio, with a bloodborne pathogens certificate and say they are a tattooer.

The training wasn't ever a requirement, but it feels crazy not even having people have to hold a license to tattoo.

Maybe it's just me, and that's ok. But if you're a consumer, I suggest you pay a little more attention when selecting your artist before you get that ink.

No shade intended, but also wow.

Stoneflies in a water way are signs of a healthy ecosystem. They also appear when your client loves clean water as much as Stoneflies do.

Even after removing his own eyes, the relief was fleeting. Like the flap of a bat's wing. It was at that moment he knew the wizard's curse would be his demise.
