Brewery Terra Firma is Michigan's 1st environmentally friendly, sustainable, agricultural production brewery & taproom making culinary inspired beer and cider in a responsible way. Whole ingredients are used with traditional brewing equipment, controlled by state of the art systems that manage temperature throughout the process. These same systems harvest waste BTU's, capturing energy that would n

ormally be lost and reuse it to preheat ingredients, maintain product temperatures, and even heat the taproom via an in-floor heating system. Waste materials such as process water and spent grain are also captured and stored for fertilization and irrigation of our crops. Fresh herbs, fruits and vegetables are a common sight, along with an amazing array of spices, roots and even flowers. Whole foods, fresh frozen or dried are used, artificial flavorings, extracts and coloring agents are not. The beer is unfiltered and unpasteurized, its clarity being attained by the addition of natural clarifying agents and allowing ample time for the beer to clear.

Okay, Traverse City... THIS looks more like summer.

After all that rain, the sun is finally back and Labor Day weekend is just around the corner.

Before everyone gets busy with the big weekend, tonight might be a pretty good night to get out and have some fun.

It's Trivia Tuesday at 7, so grab your smartest friends, your not-so-smart friends or the person who somehow knows every answer to questions about 1980s television.
Tigers vs Minnesota Twins at 7:40.

Fresh Little Italy Watermelon Honey Basil is made for the sun, the ciders are cold, brisk and refreshingand the beer garden is bright and ready, and we've got local charcuterie from Vander Farms if you're looking for something to share.

And if you're visiting Traverse City for the holiday weekend, consider this your reminder that you don't have to spend every minute downtown, come out to the farm where it's peaceful and natural.

Have a beer.
Have a cider.
Let the dog make some friends.

Monday called. We told it to bring beer.

It's going to be a beautiful day in Traverse City, so we're thinking there's no reason to wait for the weekend to have a little fun.

Come out to the farm, grab a cold Batch 500, find something good to eat and settle in with a cider and some local charcuterie.

And if you're one of those people who keeps saying, "We really need to get out to Brewery Terra Firma sometime..."

Today seems like a good day to stop saying that.
Bring the dog. Bring a friend. Bring absolutely no plan whatsoever.

Sunday looks like a pretty good day to slow things down.

If you're up and about in Traverse City today come out to the farm and spend a little time with us.

Batch 500 is still flying out the door, the ciders are cold, and the Watermelon Honey Basil is still tasting like summer with fresh watermelon in it.

We've got local charcuterie for the table and there's plenty of room to settle in with a beer or cider and let Sunday take its time.

The big screen will have the Tigers and Dodgers this afternoon too for those of you who are more interested in baseball than I am. ⚾

Sunday Euchre is free and starts at 3.

Bring the dog, grab an Aggie Treat for them and find a comfortable spot.

You don't have to have a big plan today.

Sometimes a cold beer, something good to eat and a few hours outside is enough.

It's looking like a pretty darn good Saturday in Traverse City.

If you've been waiting for a day to get out and actually enjoy it, today's looking like the one.

Batch 500 is still the biggest seller we've had since it went on tap, the ciders are cold, and the Watermelon Honey Basil has fresh watermelon.

We've also got fresh local charcuterie if you're looking for something to put between you and your beer.

And we've got the big screen ready for the Tigers vs. Dodgers at 1:10 and Detroit Lions vs. Indianapolis Colts at 1:00.

I'm not much of a sports guy, but I do know that baseball, beer and a sunny Saturday seem to go together pretty well.

Come out to the farm, grab a table, bring the dog and stay awhile.

There's no complicated plan required.

Just come hang out.
