Sounds like another great day to sing!

We are thrilled to amplify actions organized by people taking democracy into their own hands. Gold stars for all involved!

Huge thank you to the independent group of motivated Traverse City citizens for pulling this together.

Sunday, June 14 is Flag Day -- a day to honor the Stars and Stripes, not commercials and fights!

Head out to Traverse City's Open Space from 1pm - 3pm for the No Cages protest.

❌No cages on the Whitehouse lawn
❌No cages for our neighbors in for-profit ICE prisons

Later that night, instead of tuning in to watch our tax dollars make a billionaire more money, you can livestream the Rise Up Sing Out concert! (Featuring Rufus Wainright, Bette Midler, and more!)

We gathered in solidarity and in song today in Baldwin at the detention center that houses 1,400 detainees.

Save the date! June 6th the NoMi Justice Singers are joining the Benzie County Dems to sing for our immigrant neighbors who are locked in at the North Lake Detention Center in Baldwin. There are currently 1400 people held there - the largest detention center in the midwest. It is privately owned by Geo Group. There are many reports of inhumane treatment and some people there have recently been on a hunger strike. Details for meet up coming very soon! Time frame is approximately 10-2 including drive time.
