Taking place during Colgate University’s Family Weekend, we’re expecting a lively crowd and would love to fill the market with an amazing mix of local creatives and small businesses.

🎨 Village Clay on Lebanon is officially opening Thursday, August 20th! 🎨

We’re so excited to bring Village Clay to the heart of Hamilton! At this location, we’ll be offering Paint Your Own Pottery (PYOP) anytime we’re open. Simply drop by to paint your own custom pottery. Once you finish your masterpiece, we’ll fire it in our kilns so it’s ready for pick-up in 7-10 days.

Empty Bowls 2026 🥣

It’s time to prepare for Village Clay’s Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser!

Empty Bowls is an international grassroots project that raises money and awareness for food-related charities. This year, we’re partnering with The Local Culture for our event on October 24th, and we need our amazing studio members to help make it happen!

Calling all Village Clay potters!
From August 21st through September 4th, studio members (past & present) are invited to come in wedge, throw, and trim bowls for our Empty Bowls fundraiser.

Every bowl you make helps support this important cause, and we’d love to see our studio community come together to make a difference. Last year we raised 7k dollars for the Hamilton Food Cupboard and Sherburne Food Pantry.

You may have guessed it… Village Clay is opening a pop-up Paint Your Own Pottery studio right in the heart of Hamilton!
Come get a sneak peek at our new space during a quick open house TODAY, August 7 from 2–6 PM at 7 Lebanon St. Stop by, say hello, check out the space, and see what we’ve been working on! Everyone who stops by today will get a $5 off your next purchase when we open.

Our doors officially open August 20th.

Our next round of 7 week pottery courses is officially open for registration! These classes fill up quickly, so if you’ve been wanting to learn how to work with clay, now’s the time to sign up!

🌀 Wheel Throwing
Perfect for beginners through intermediate potters, this course covers everything from throwing on the wheel to trimming, glazing, and firing.

Classes take place Wednesdays or Thursdays at 6 - 8pm
📅 Starting the week of September 2nd

🏺 Handbuilding
Learn the foundations of ceramics through pinch pots, slab building, and coil construction while exploring decorative techniques like sgraffito, slip trailing, underglaze transfers, and glazing.

Classes take place on Mondays at 6 - 8pm or Saturdays at 10 - 12pm

Our current round of kids & teens clay classes is coming to an end, which means it’s almost time for the next session! 🎉

Clay for Kids I (Ages 6–9) starts August 4 (FULLY BOOKED)

Clay for Kids II (Ages 10–13) starts August 5
Young artists will learn the fundamentals of handbuilding through pinching, coiling, and slab building while creating their own unique pottery projects. These classes are a fun way to build creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of clay.

Teen Clay-magination Studio (Ages 13+) starts August 11
This project-based handbuilding class gives teens the freedom to bring their own ideas to life while developing handbuilding, sculpting, and surface design skills. Students will also have access to optional weekly studio time with the instructor to continue working on their projects and explore new techniques.
