Founded in 2015 at Asano Taiko US in Torrance, Los Dokos is a student group dedicated to learning, sharing and having fun together!

Our concert performance is almost here! Thank you so much to our friends and family who have already purchased tickets to come watch and support us - we’ve been working and practicing hard to make it an memorable experience for everyone!

Did you guess that OG member Hiromi was our special guest in our last post? She came all the way from Australia to be a part of our upcoming concert! And she's not the only one – Andres, Eric, Helen and Sherri will be joining in as well! We had our first practice yesterday together, and it was like they had always been there. Life can always pull you away from things you love, but in Los Dokos, no matter what, you are always family!

Hard at work for our upcoming concert! Please join us on May 3rd at 5pm at Asano Taiko US as we celebrate 10 years together.

Tickets are only $5, and you can purchase a ticket AND bento box for only $20. Drinks are available for a small donation. Had a great time performing with our Asano Taiko US family at Bunka–sai yesterday! We opened the set with Omiyage, then got to sit back and cheer on TaiConnet, Ariga Taiko, LATI Gumi, and UnitOne! Great groups, great performances, great audience energy and all-around great time!

Up next is our 10-year Anniversary Concert in May - stay tuned!

It's 2025! We've got big news - it's our 10 year anniversary! We are so excited to celebrate this huge milestone event with an anniversary concert on May 3rd at Asano Taiko US! We were going to have a Five Year Anniversary Concert, but we all know what happened in 2020!

We're busy planning, prepping and practicing for the event, but we did take time out to celebrate the end of 2024 with a dinner at our favorite restaurant! We were happy to have Eric Lai and Keisuke Kato join us, and while members Kaitlyn and Hiro were not able to physically join us due to other commitments, they were there in spirit (and in the picture!).

Always wonderful to have our wayward member, Eric, come and visit us! Whenever he's in town, he always joins us at practice, followed by dinner afterwards. Eric is one of our main songwriters, as well as being a talented shinobue, chappa and taiko players, as well as coming up with a lot of ideas to keep our performances fun!

Looking forward to seeing you again soon, Eric!

It's been a while, but we've been really busy this past year. To start off the year, we performed with our fellow Asano Taiko/LATI groups at the Torrance Sister City's Bunka-Sai event! While we were missing our members, Stacey and Tomoko, this was the first Bunka-Sai with our newest member, Miyuki! It was an exciting performance, and practicing and performing always brings us closer together!

Afterwards, we had dinner at Marugame Udon to celebrate and relax. What's next for us? We'll be sure to keep you posted!
