A few little business updates because we are officially heading into my BUSIEST season of the year. 🤎
First things first, my turnaround time is 4-6 weeks and always has been. 90% of the time I do everything I can to beat that but I also want to gently remind everyone that outside of photography, I am a wife and a mama first. I have a life outside of work and one thing I’m simply not willing to do is miss moments with my babies just to sit behind a computer. Your photos are incredibly important to me but so is being present for my family.
I also want to clarify something when it comes to editing because I think this is important going into busy season. My standard editing does not include extensive retouching such as major blemish removal, head swaps, body alterations, swapping expressions/faces, removing large objects, etc. If there is something specific you know you’ll want done, please let me know beforehand so we can discuss whether it’s possible and any additional editing fee that may apply.
These edits may sound simple but they can be extremely time consuming. When I’m working through multiple galleries, additional extensive edits can slow down the editing process for every gallery behind yours. The same goes for requests made after a completed gallery has already been delivered. Depending on the request, I may have to reopen, re-edit, re-export and re-upload images or even portions of the entire gallery.
I absolutely want you to LOVE your photos but I also have to protect my workflow and turnaround times for every client on my schedule. So going forward, anything outside of my normal editing style needs to be discussed ahead of time and may require an additional fee. 🤎
I also owe a BIG thank you for the patience and grace so many of you have shown me lately when it comes to messages. My response time has honestly been slim to none some days and I know I am extremely behind.
The truth is, I’m grieving my son every single day. Grief doesn’t follow a schedule, and day to day I genuinely don’t know what I’m going to wake up feeling like or what I’ll have the emotional capacity for. On top of that, we’re in the middle of moving, life is complete chaos right now, AND our whole family recently got over Covid and strep which about took me OUT. 😂
So if you’ve been waiting on a response from me, please know I’m not intentionally ignoring you. I’m simply doing my best to balance photography, motherhood, marriage, grief and real life and I appreciate the people who continue to give me grace more than you know.
