Phoebe’s art focuses on themes that have motivated and inspired her in life which are fantasy, landscapes, and nature. She has experienced many life challenges being born with Spina Bifida Myelomeningocele and dealing with learning disabilities such as dyslexia and severe dyscalculia. However, those challenges have not slowed her down and she has used her art as a healing outlet and learning oppor

tunities to better herself. While she grew up in Central Florida, she is now both a co-op studio artist and volunteer at the NOTO Arts Center in Topeka, KS. She has exhibited her art in local art shows in both Altamonte Springs, FL and more recently here in Topeka, KS. Her art is currently on display at NOTO Arts Center and at Amused Gallery & Gifts in Topeka. She is always looking to learn new artistic techniques and meet fellow artisans.

Road Trip Summer 2026 — Part 2

The second and final part of my summer road trip takes me to historic St. Augustine, Florida.

I visited several local art destinations while staying in St. Augustine. At Cutter & Cutter Fine Art, the featured exhibitions included The Art of Dr. Seuss Collection and Jeong & Choon Yun: Exultation. The gallery now occupies the former Brilliance in Color Fine Art Gallery location, and its original sign remains outside as part of the historic character of the building.

My next stop was La Casa Studios, where I experienced Two Worlds, an exhibition featuring the work of oceanic photographer Kevin Dodge (). I also visited 162 St. George Street, home to Heritage Walk and 24 unique shops, including Anchored Studio Gallery in Suite 28.

Photography was not permitted inside these galleries, but I was able to experience the artwork in person while the exterior visits and the rest of our journey were captured for this video.

The St. Augustine portion also features a telephoto view of a United States Coast Guard cutter from St. Augustine Beach, a sailboat on the Matanzas River with a dolphin’s dorsal fin breaking the surface, the Bridge of Lions raised for passing boats, and several views of Castillo de San Marcos.

While I experienced all of these sights in real time, my dad, Jason Trites, captured the photographs and road footage so we could preserve and share the memories from our trip.

Anyone visiting St. Augustine or traveling through northeast Florida should consider making time to explore the city’s art galleries, historic streets, waterfront scenery, and Castillo de San Marcos.

Road Trip Summer 2026 — Part 1

My summer road trip begins in Huntsville, Alabama, with a visit to Big Spring International Park before heading to the Huntsville Museum of Art.

During my museum visit, I explored artwork from the American Art Galleries, Extinct in the Wild, and Gilded Wilderness. Each exhibition offered something different, from American art history and impressionism to wildlife conservation, nature, and creative interpretations of the natural world.

If you are visiting Huntsville or passing through northern Alabama, I recommend setting aside time to explore the Huntsville Museum of Art. It is a worthwhile stop for anyone who enjoys art, history, nature, or discovering new creative inspiration.

This video shares a few highlights from my visit before I get back on the road and continue my summer adventure.
