Spotlighting our Teacher of the Month: Ethan Shorb.

Ethan is one of our violin teachers and has just recently started teaching. He is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Music Education at Washburn University.

Ethan has been playing in Orchestra since 5th grade. He has played with the Topeka Youth Symphony Orchestra and is currently concert master in the Washburn Symphony Orchestra.

Some things Ethan enjoys in his spare time are, of course, violin and music, but also MMA, gymnastics, parkour and tricking.

Thank you, Ethan, for all of your contributions to music and the arts!

Join Washburn University and some of the finest musicians and educators for the Coleman Hawkins Summer Jazz Camp, June 1-5. The camp will focus on improvisation, small group performance, theory and many other jazz related skills. This camp is open to middle school and high school students, grades 7 – 12.
