playing in a medium connected to a collaboration driven by divine imagery. on this vernal equinox i am energized to begin this project. i will ultimately produce four mosaic pieces that reflect the joyful, sorrowful, luminous, and glorious mysteries.

i am always intrigued when someone presents an idea outside my usual artistic realm of materials, that then leads me down the yellow brick path of possibilities. thanks .sabatini

instead of yellow brick, i am considering the organic look of river rocks that will be used in the creation of a grotto. my four pieces, that will reflect the joyful, sorrowful, luminous, and glorious mysteries will fit into four niches of a grotto.

i took my fourth grandson to "the blue show" in the alice c. sabatini gallery.
we started at the interactive squishy floor dots and shadow wall for a good fifteen minutes.
this toddler then embraced all that was blue in this fantastical show, as he identified different displays to grandma taffy. we ended our blue experience in the art room area of the show where my grandson delighted in all of the story book offerings. good job curators, i look forward to other color explorations, because, be you sixty or two, color will grab your heart and soul.

i have had the greatest pleasure of having some of my art pieces hanging alongside other wonderful latino artist in the alice c. sabatini art gallery these last couple of months.
this thursday i will be sharing how my community has influenced my art. i hope you will dawn a mask and join me.

i applied to the prairie village state of the arts juried exhibition and one of my pieces was accepted ---YAHOO
my work is hanging out with a myriad of talented artist, and if you are so moved, i would appreciate you voting my piece for the "people's choice" award. the piece is called "five", and it and the other art works can be viewed at artspv.org. voting is happening now through thursday, october 14th
