Another Heart Art Bear is ready for the next big step… STUFFING! 🧸❤️

There’s something pretty special about this part of the process. A pile of fabric pieces slowly becomes a little bear with a personality all its own. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the things we create—and even the things we go through—take a little time, patience, and a whole lot of heart before they become what they’re meant to be. ❤️

And let’s be honest…this is also the stage where I get to make a bear look like it ate just a little too much dinner! 😂

One handful of stuffing at a time, this little Heart Art Bear is coming to life. I can’t wait to see who this sweet bear becomes! 🧸💕✨

🧸✂️ Sometimes you have to document your own creativity! 😂

As I work on my Heart Art Bears, I’m constantly changing up techniques, patterns, and little details. And because my memory apparently thinks, “Oh, you’ll definitely remember how you did that!” 🤣 I try to take pictures along the way.

That way, if I REALLY like how something turns out, I have a fighting chance of figuring out how to do it again!

For this bear, I’m trying something a little different. I want the body to look like it’s wearing pajamas, so I changed the direction of the seam between the hand and arm. 🧸🩷

Now we wait and see… 🤔
Will that little change actually make a difference in the finished bear?

Guess we’ll have to wait for the grand reveal! 😂

Zen Doodle is just one of the words that can be used about the kind of art I make. I also like to refer to it as intricate pattern art! While I do use some tangles from Zentangle, my work doesn't completely fall into that category. This list shows some of the differences between Zentangle and Zen Doodle.

I love my Every Day Dose and love to savor it! So good that I don't usually want to drink it when focusing on my art! 😆 When I do, it usually disappears without me even realizing it! 😉

I draw intricate pattern art, using patterns from Zentangle but different. I actually got kicked out of a Zentangle Facebook group because my art didn't follow the Zentangle "rules." Lol! 😆

I've been wanting to make something like this for awhile, and this Every Day Dose festival gave me the perfect reason to start. 😁 It won't be done by tonight, but I wanted to show my progress from yesterday. This is my first project with the toned paper and white gel pens and will probably not be the last.

I also sew what I lovingly call my Heart Art Bears 🐻, so I drew the mushy body similar to them! I don't know if I could alter the bear's head to look like it, but it is fun to think about!

A couple of weeks ago, I participated in an amazing virtual conference called "The Becoming Experience" hosted by Clarissa Castillo-Ramsey in her Painting your Path Community group! There were so many wonderful speakers, and I really learned a lot! One of the activities we worked on was an art project. We could use any medium and asked to use words of things we wanted to become more of in our life.

I have done a few other projects in the style I picked and have been meaning to create another one. This gave me a great excuse! 😉😁 It includes words of things I want less of and things I want to become more of in my life!

Here is my creation, and later I will share the progression of making it which will explain it in more detail. It took me about two days to complete.

Sometimes a teddy bear is so much more than a teddy bear. ❤️🧸

Every Heart Art Bear I create is stitched with love, wrapped with care, and made with the hope that it will become part of someone's story. Seeing this sweet bear all beautifully wrapped and then finding its way into the arms of a smiling 7-year-old girl... well, that's the moment that makes every hour of creating worth it. 🥹💝

Knowing that something made by my hands can bring comfort, joy, and a big smile to a child's face is one of life's greatest blessings.

Now I have a question for you... ❤️

I'm so close to finishing my latest bear! Embroidering the eyes can be one of the hardest parts. I had to redo this one three times. I was wanting to finish and deliver the bear today, but tomorrow is going to have to be the day! 😉 Anyway, back to the other eye then off to attaching, stuffing, closing up and packaging! I'm running it close this time!
