Passing along a message from the Association of Professional Piercers:
Body piercing and performance art go hand in hand. This year at our annual Conference we are very excited to highlight some amazing Performance Artists such as Dr. Dominic Johnson (Associate Professor) in Performance and Visual Culture in the School of English and Drama, at Queen Mary University of London. Ron Athey, a visiting lecturer at Roski School/USC, who teaches a seminar on the history of california-centric countercultures, and periodically facilitates immersive performance art workshops. Lukas Zpira, a body modification artist, nomadic performer, documentor of the contemporary fringes and one of the major figures of the contemporary underground, as well as Darryl Carlton, Allen Falkner and Steve Joyner.
The Point; Journal of Body Piercing wants to highlight as many performance artists from within the body modification industry or who use body modification in their performances. This means we want to hear from you!
Are you a Performance Artist?
Do you know someone that is a Performance Artist that we need to know about?
Have you particularly inspired by a Performance Artist or Performance group since becoming a body piercer?
