Northern Encounter is a recruiting event, for high school juniors, seniors, and their guests, held each spring and fall on the Tonkawa, Enid, and Stillwater campuses.

At the event, prospective students learn about academic options, scholarships, financial aid, student employment, extra-curricular activities, tutoring, and residential housing.

There are door prizes, free SWAG, campus tours, opportunities to meet with faculty and staff, and drawings for tuition waivers.
