Did you know that a portion of every Folty 5K registration goes right back into our community through scholarships? 🎓🏃‍♂️

Each year, race proceeds help support a deserving LP senior as they take the next step toward their future. We are proud to announce this year’s scholarship recipient, Emerson Vasquez!

Congratulations, Emerson! We wish you all the best and can’t wait to see all you accomplish.

Emerson Vasquez (left), a LaSalle-Peru Township High School senior, received the Bob Folty Memorial Scholarship, presented by Dirk Foltynewicz. This $500 scholarship was created in honor of Bob “Folty” Foltynewicz. He was a proud resident of the Village of Tonica and contributed to the community. He valued education and built the little library in front of Village Hall. This scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior who is going into a Career Technical Education (CTE) field.

The Tonica Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance has been and continues to be a great partner for the community festivities. Come out and show your support next Saturday, June 13th! There are a few tickets left to get you two fantastic steak dinners and chance at the $1,000 prize! Wild Card starts the after party at 7 pm! Comment below if you still need your ticket! 🎫 🚨💰

🎆 WE ARE SO CLOSE! 🎆

Tonica Fest is getting closer, and we are working hard to bring something BIG to the community this year… for the FIRST TIME EVER a FIREWORK SHOW during fest weekend! 🎇

We’re almost at our goal, but we need one final push from our amazing community to make it happen!

🍔 Join us tomorrow at Culver’s from 5–8 PM
🚗 Drive-thru or dine-in, both count!
🙌 No need to mention the fundraiser, it’s automatic!

A simple dinner out can help light up the sky for everyone at Tonica Fest. Bring your family, tell your friends, and help us make this unforgettable!

We had some Tonica fest committee kids raise money for our group this weekend! They yelled “lemonade” until they couldn’t anymore, spilled a few drinks, consumed their own product, took many breaks, and met some community members who came to support the cause! All in all, their efforts were a success raising $180 for our organization 💚
