Many of you know Dr. Gliset Morales as co-owner of Amapola Arts, but her work also extends deeply into higher education. As an Associate Professor at Buffalo State University and Project Director of the NYSABE Bilingual Educator Pipeline Initiative, she is working to expand pathways into education for multilingual students across Western New York.
And this is an opportunity we want our Amapola community to know about! 🌎
The NYSABE Bilingual Educator Pipeline Initiative at Buffalo State University provides eligible multilingual undergraduate students with significant financial, academic, and professional support as they prepare for careers in education.
Support may include:
💰 Financial assistance toward educational expenses
💻 A personal educational device
📚 Books and required materials
🤝 Individualized advising and mentoring
🌟 Professional development and career preparation
Eligible programs include Childhood Education, Special Education & Childhood Education, Mathematics Education, Social Studies Education, and Speech-Language Pathology.
🗣️ Students from all language backgrounds are encouraged to inquire, with priority languages including Spanish, Bengali, Arabic, Burmese, Swahili, Karen, and Somali.
