📼🎧 THE VHS FILES — FILLER #12! 🎧📼

🎶 MIXTAPES, CASSETTES & WALKMANS!

Before Spotify, playlists and streaming… you had CASSETTE TAPES! 😂

You waited for your favorite song to come on the radio, hit RECORD at exactly the right second, made mixtapes for your friends and carried your music around on a Walkman. 📻📼🎧

🎬 CREATE YOUR OWN ’80s MUSIC SKIT OR COMMERCIAL!

Your video could be:

🎧 A cheesy ’80s Walkman-style commercial
📼 A “How to Make the Perfect Mixtape” skit
📻 Trying to record your favorite song off the radio without the DJ ruining it 😂
💘 Making the ultimate mixtape for your crush
🎶 A boom box vs. portable cassette player commercial
📼 A fake cassette compilation commercial
🛍️ A skit filmed inside an ACTUAL music/record store — shopping for albums and cassettes like it’s 1985!
🎤 Interview customers about what album or cassette they're buying
😂 OR come up with your own creative idea!

👥 1–4 people may participate

🎭 Open to ALL BOM Dance & Theater students AND BOM parents!

⏱️ VIDEO LENGTH:
Minimum: 1½ minutes
Maximum: 2½ minutes — IF IT’S GOOD! 😂

🎥 Can be filmed at home, in the studio, somewhere around town OR inside an actual music/record store!

Dress the part and make us feel like we just stepped into a music store in the middle of the ’80s. Big hair, denim, headphones, boom boxes, cassette tapes and ALL the nostalgia! 🎧📼

📅 Deadline to submit: 12/15/26

🏆 The chosen filler will be announced in January 2027!

📧 [email protected]

🎶📼 Press PLAY, get creative and take us back to the days of the mixtape!

📼📺 THE VHS FILES — FILLER #11! 📺📼

🥣🌈 SATURDAY MORNING CARTOONS — ’80s STYLE!

It’s Saturday morning in the ’80s…

No school.
No streaming.
No YouTube.

Just PAJAMAS, A GIANT BOWL OF CEREAL & CARTOONS! 😂🥣📺

🎬 CREATE YOUR OWN SATURDAY MORNING CARTOON SEGMENT!

Your video could be:

📺 A funny skit about kids waking up early to watch Saturday morning cartoons
🥣 A ridiculous ’80s cereal commercial
🎬 A fake commercial break between cartoons
🌈 A promo for your own made-up ’80s cartoon
🎤 A cheesy TV announcer introducing the Saturday morning lineup
🦸 Dress up as your own ridiculous cartoon characters
😂 OR come up with your own creative idea!

Think about the cartoons that filled Saturday mornings:

🌈 Rainbow Brite
⚔️ He-Man & She-Ra
💙 The Smurfs
🐻 Care Bears
🚗 Transformers
🐢 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
🕵️ Inspector Gadget
🐱 Garfield & Friends
✨ And MORE!

👥 1–5 people may participate

🎭 Open to ALL BOM Dance & Theater students AND BOM parents!

⏱️ VIDEO LENGTH:
Minimum: 1½ minutes
Maximum: 2½ minutes — IF IT’S GOOD! 😂

🎥 Can be filmed at home, in the studio OR somewhere around town.

Pajamas, cereal bowls, blankets, old TVs, cheesy commercials and completely over-the-top ’80s energy are HIGHLY encouraged! 📺🥣

The goal is to make us feel like we just woke up on a Saturday morning in 1986!

📅 Deadline to submit: 12/15/26

🏆 The chosen filler will be announced in January 2027!
