Surflight Theatre and New Jersey Theatre Alliance are proud to partner with Revolution NJ to celebrate the current production of 1776 that continues its run tonight through Sunday August 30th in Beach Haven, NJ. This TONY winning musical tells the story of how our founding fathers struggled, disagreed, walked out and finally...agreed to declare independence from England. It is a funny, insightful and compelling drama with a striking score and legendary book. It shows us today how we are able to celebrate our 250th anniversary of America's birth.

A nationally recognized leader at the intersection of arts, philanthropy, higher education, and cultural policy, Emil has spent more than 30 years helping organizations navigate change with vision, purpose, and clarity. His work centers on building cultural ecosystems that are equitable, sustainable, and ready for the future.

Drawing on leadership experience with The Mellon Foundation, Carolina Performing Arts, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and numerous national arts organizations, Emil brings a thoughtful perspective on leading through complexity and creating lasting impact.

Join us for Creating Change 2026: Community & Culture Shift on Wednesday, October 28, 2026—a day of learning, connection, and action as we explore how community and culture can drive meaningful change across New Jersey's arts sector.

This year's summit will be a space for connection, learning, and practice of foundational skills for cross-sector partnership. The summit sessions will collectively offer a toolkit for building community, solidarity, and collective power in the arts and beyond. This year’s summit will prioritize relational tools that build connection to build collective power and push back against fragmentation, fracture, and isolation used by people and systems that hoard power and perpetuate oppression.

Axelrod Performing Arts Center, , and New Jersey Theatre Alliance are proud to partner with to celebrate the current production of WE'LL MEET AGAIN running June 18 – June 28 in Holmdel, NJ. This show is a moving and unforgettable new musical inspired by the real-life story of Heinz "Henry" Stern, a five-year-old Jewish boy who along with his family escaped from N**i Germany in 1937 and immigrated to America, settling in Alabama, where they were welcomed with open arms by the community. Through extraordinary storytelling and the iconic music of the era, the story follows one family’s journey from fear and uncertainty to compassion
