After our classes, there's a lot of wasted solder on the table tops. We have been sweeping it up and saving it. I got the bright idea to melt it down to clean it and form it into usable pieces. It worked great and I was able to reclaim 1.4 lbs of usable solder. At over $30 a pound, that was worth it!
