Next on our March recap is the Band O Rama concert!

Each ensemble did a great job on their music and the concert culminated in a mass band performance with about 400 students performing Ghostbusters!

All the bands now are preparing their music for their spring concerts. Make sure you attend the TMS Band Concerts on Tuesday May 12 and the THS Band Concert on Saturday May 16!

We’re kicking off our March recap by celebrating an exciting musical opportunity for several Tomah Band students!

In early March, students traveled to Decorah, Iowa, to participate in the Dorian Honor Band at Luther College. This event brings together talented high school musicians from across multiple states for hours of rehearsals, learning, and culminates in a final performance under the direction of outstanding guest conductors and Luther College faculty.

WIND ENSEMBLE ROCKS THE STATE CAPITOL

March is “Music in Our Schools” month and huge congratulations are in order for the Tomah High School Wind Ensemble! The Wind Ensemble performed at the Wisconsin State Capitol on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 as a part of the annual Capitol Concerts series, hosted by the Wisconsin Music Educators Association. This group of hard-working student musicians represented our school and community with pride as we filled the Capitol with sound at the 12:00 noon concert. The day concluded with a guided tour of the Wisconsin State Capitol, built in 1906. It was truly an amazing day!

A special “THANK YOU” goes out to the amazing band parents who gave up a day to serve as chaperones on the trip to Madison. Thank you, band parents!

BAND-O-RAMA is BACK AGAIN!

Join us on Friday, March 6 at 6:30pm for our annual Band-O-Rama concert, featuring all TASD band students at once!

PEP BAND FINALE - Tuesday, March 3!

JOIN US as we end our basketball pep band season with one final performance as the THS boys basketball team takes on LaCrosse Logan! The game begins at 7:00pm in the THS large gym. Our pep bands have been rocking the gym all season long—if you haven’t heard us yet, make sure to come support us AND Tomah athletics tomorrow, March 3!

The TMS bands had a special guest come in this past Monday to help get the bands ready for the Band-O-Rama concert. Thank you to Mr. Neal for giving great advice for our concert!

Today, some members of the TMS Band and Choir students participated in our District Solo/Ensemble Festival, performing solo or in small groups in Black River Falls.

Congratulations to these students and we can't wait to see you in the THS Large Gym for the Band-O-Rama concert on Friday March 6. 6th grade starts the concert at 6:30 pm!

Congratulations to the TMS and THS students who participated in the 40th annual Wisconsin Concert Band Association’s conference.

The 3 TMS students worked with Dr. Cassandra Bechard and performed a wonderful concert! They had only 5 hours worth of rehearsals to pull off their concert, and they came prepared. They had a full day of rehearsals, sectionals with band directors, and more.

The 3 THS students worked with Dr. Emily Threinen. They performed an amazing concert and started their rehearsal process on Friday afternoon. They had a full two days of rehearsals, watched the Intercollegiate Honor Band perform, and performed a wonderful concert.

Congratulations to the TASD band students who represented the district well this past weekend!

Four THS Wind Ensemble students travelled to the UW-Milwaukee High School Honor Band, presented by the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee Bands.

Congratulations to Collin Branch, trombone; Aidan Huneke, trombone; Marshall Reiman, euphonium; and Lucas Wilson, tuba, on a job well done! The concert was held in the beautiful Zelazo Center on the UW-M campus.
