Thank you to everyone who auditioned for our 2026/27 Season.

At Order Chaos Theater Company, we are built on the connections we create within our community. Every person who walked through our doors brought their own artistry, perspective, and humanity, and we are grateful for the trust and courage it takes to share that with us. This year, we find ourselves more grateful still to the many individuals who trusted us to hold vital conversations during this process, and for the stunning level of vulnerability so many shared with us.

We recognize the courage it takes to audition. To stand in front of a panel and an audience of your peers, make bold choices, and be vulnerable in service of storytelling is no small thing. We celebrate every individual who accepted that challenge and contributed their unique voice to this season.

Thank you for being part of OCTC.

One of the driving forces in this conversation was Laura Durant.

“Order Chaos Theater began as a conversation among artists, united by the belief that the stage connects us through shared experience. We aim to create theatre where audiences feel included, represented, and truly part of the story.”

I will deeply miss my conversations with her and will forever be grateful for her encouragement, support, and belief in what OCTC could become long before it existed. When Order Chaos Theater Company was only a possibility, Laura was already part of the heart behind it.

OCTC would not be here without her.

Her kindness, insight, and faith in artists helped shape not only this company, but the community around it. We carry her with us in every story we tell and every space we create together.

As a community of artists, we are incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by individuals who elevate not only the work, but one another through their generosity, passion, and humanity.

As OCTC closes out its 25/26 season with A Moon for the Misbegotten, we extend our deepest gratitude to Jen Gantwerker, Mitchell Glass, J. Kevin Tallent, Owen Rapkoch, Maybe Stewart, Ben Rojek, and Mark Clemente for a truly beautiful and moving run. This production has been the perfect final note—an unforgettable culmination of the season.

Looking ahead to our 26/27 season, we also want to thank our audiences who showed up, supported, and shared in these stories with us. And to our fellow artists across the Valley—your encouragement, collaboration, and artistry continue to inspire us as we grow into our 5th season.

Join us tonight at 7pm on PHXStages for the official 26/27 season announcement. We’re excited to share a season rooted in bold storytelling and meaningful community engagement.

It is often said that understudies are unsung heroes—but perhaps it is time we retire that phrase, for they are heroes worthy of song.

Order Chaos Theater Company had the distinct privilege of working with Ben Rojek, who graciously stepped in to understudy the role of James Tyrone in A Moon for the Misbegotten. In the span of just one week, Ben undertook a truly herculean task—mastering a demanding text while fully inhabiting the role and making it unmistakably his own.

Those fortunate enough to witness his performance this past Saturday experienced something rare: not only a remarkable portrayal, but the extraordinary achievement of a deeply committed artist and human being.

OCTC extends its profound gratitude to Ben for the generosity of his talent—a gift shared with the cast, our audiences, and the entire company.
