The Winter 2024 edition of ArtMatters takes you inside an incredible partnership between TMA and The University of Toledo’s Department of Art. Together, they brought Yatreda: ያጥሬዳ to life in bronze.

Using the UT Center for Sculptural Studies' foundry, a bronze medallion was created as part of Ethiopia at the Crossroads. The piece also embraced the digital age, allowing visitors to download it as a non-fungible token (NFT).

This exclusive story is just one of many ways ArtMatters connects TMA members to the art, ideas, and collaborations shaping the museum’s impact.
