The Valentine Theatre Toledo's Heart of the Arts since 1895. This year, we present our 28th season with a variety of live performances from Mrs.

Doubtfire the Musical, to HadesTown and more! Originally opened in 1895, The Valentine Theatre is a 901-seat facility operated by the Toledo Cultural Arts Center, Inc. After a 21-year effort by the Board of Trustees and the community, the $28 million renovation was unveiled on October 9, 1999. Since the Gala re-opening, more than 800,000 people have attended 1000 international, national and area p

resentations, weddings and events. The Theatre also produces its own performing arts series, featuring national and international attractions in additions to serving local performing arts organizations.

Behind every great piece of art is an even greater story. 🖼️

We spent an afternoon with Paul Geiger, the artist behind our grand lobby's mural, to talk about what it took to bring this piece to life.

It took Paul a year and a half just to conceptualize and research this project. Needless to say, he uncovered some incredible history along the way - and we’re so excited to share it with you.
