Under the leadership of Eric Otto, Artistic Director, Toledo Ballet offers a complete, inclusive program for all students. Our instructors utilize core principles from the American Ballet Theater National Training Curriculum, focusing on kinetics, coordination, anatomy, and proper body alignment. ๐ˆ๐’๐€๐๐„๐‹๐‹๐€ ๐‘๐Ž๐’๐„ ๐’๐‡๐ˆ๐„๐‹๐ƒ๐’ graduated Magna Cum Laude from Perrysburg High School with an honors diploma and fine arts accolades. During her high school years she also excelled at violin, was a 4-year member of the PHS dance team and studied ASL! Isabella started her dance journey at age 2! She joined Toledo Ballet in the fall of 2020 along with her two younger sisters.

Isabellaโ€™s favorite memory of Toledo ballet is two fold! her favorite class memory is Lauraโ€™s! She says itโ€™s a way to decompress after school. Isabellaโ€™s favorite Nutcracker memory is snow scene! When the snow gets dropped a little heavy , itโ€™s white out and ends up everywhere including following you home.

Next on Isabellaโ€™s journey is the University of Findlay which she will attend with a Deans Scholarship to study Animal Science/Pre-Veterinary Medicine. This step will lead her towards her final goal of becoming a Dr of Veterinary Medicine. Isabella hopes to keep dance in her life by teaching an occasional class while getting her education.

Experience a transformative week of dance with Johan Mancebo, professional dancer with Cleveland Ballet, during our Summer Dance Intensive June 22-26.

Johan Mancebo was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and began his dance training in 2006. He became a part of the inaugural class of male dancers to graduate from the National School of Ballet of the Dominican Republic in 2015. During his training from 2013 to 2015, Johan secured an apprenticeship with the Dominican National Ballet. In November 2014, he was invited to perform Septime Webre's "Alice in Wonderland" with CODA21 in Puerto Rico, and shortly thereafter, in January 2015, he joined The Washington Ballet Studio Company, also under Webre's direction. Johan has since danced with prestigious companies such as Ballet de Cรกmara de Madrid and Sibiu Ballet Theater in Romania.

In 2023, he joined the Cleveland Ballet, where he has taken on soloist and principal roles, including Don Josรฉ in "Gladisa," Jean de Brienne in "Raymonda," the Cavalier in "The Nutcracker," and both Raven and Bluebird in "The Sleeping Beauty," among many other notable performances.

Johan holds a Degree in Pedagogy of Classical Dance: Cuban Method and won the Interpretation Award of his generation at Instituto Universitario de Danza Alicia Alonso, King Juan Carlos University, Spain.

Olympic rhythmic gymnast and Broadway dancer Aliane Baquerot-Wilson will join Toledo Ballet to teach an inspiring Summer Dance Intensive June 15-19.

Aliane Baquerot-Wilson is an Olympic rhythmic gymnast, turned Broadway dancer. She appeared on Broadway in the original company of Saturday Night Fever and Twyla Tharp's Movin' Out and was also a member of the first national tour of Contact. Following that she moved to Los Angeles to try her hand at film and television. Aliane can be seen in films such as: Southland Tales, Spider-Man 3, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and A Christmas Carol. She also worked on tv shows like Cold Case and was a featured trainer on NBC's Celebrity Circus.

Aliane has danced with multiple recording artists including: Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, John Legend, Elton John and Tony Bennett. Aliane now resides in Columbus and is passionate about teaching and passing along what she has learned throughout all of her experiences about the business end of the business as well as the art of dance.

This fall, Ragan will be joining BalletMet in Columbus as a trainee for the 2026-2027 season with a goal of getting into a ballet company! She will also be entering her senior year of high school virtually.

This fall, Ali will attend School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) where he plans to study fashion and major in Fashion Design.

Toledo Ballet dancers Jack and Liesl Kraft took the stage at the Youth America Grand Prix Finals in Houston last week. With more than 1,000 dancers from 37 countries, this was an incredible achievement. Enjoy their performance from Coppรฉlia. Amazing work!
