This Memorial Day, we pause to remember those who gave everything in service to something greater than themselves.

As we unveil the first of 13 murals planned for the Veterans Glass City Skyway Bridge, we’re reminded that public art can do more than transform spaces, it can preserve stories, honor sacrifice, and create places of reflection for generations to come.

To every service member who never made it home: we remember you.

To every family who carries that sacrifice: we honor you.

A powerful moment beneath the Veterans’ Glass City Skyway Bridge.

Thank you to every veteran, partner, supporter, elected official and community member who joined us on Wednesday to mark the completion of the first Veterans Mural pillar. What now stands on the skyline represents service, sacrifice and the stories that helped shape our community.

This first pillar is only the beginning of what we hope becomes the world’s largest veterans mural project and a lasting tribute for generations to come.

To everyone who showed up, supported, shared and believed in this idea, thank you for helping move it forward.

On to pillar two. 🇺🇸

A salute to public art. 🇺🇸

The first of 13 murals on the Veterans’ Glass City Skyway Bridge is complete, honoring the service, sacrifice and legacy of those who wore the uniform.

Ahead of Memorial Day, we pause to recognize the men and women who served and the families who stood beside them.
