There’s something about painting these dreamy places that feels like building little escapes from reality… warm light, quiet water, winding paths, and that feeling of being somewhere beautiful with nowhere to rush to.

This piece is part of my growing Escape Collection-paintings inspired by the places we long for, remember, or dream about.

Lately I’ve been painting places that feel like a pause from real life… warm light, coastal air, quiet paths, and that feeling of being somewhere beautiful with nowhere else to be.

This one is called Golden Passage.

There’s something special about commission work-
not just creating a piece for someone, but creating it with them.

Quietly Blooming began with an inspiration image she loved. Together we made changes, wove in the colors from her home, and built something that felt personal to her space and her style.

This week I finally got to visit one of my best friends, see it hanging in its forever home, and spend time together again. Seeing a piece settle into the space it was created for is always rewarding… but sharing that moment with someone you love makes it even more meaningful. ❤️

This is why I love creating custom work - art becomes part of a home, a story, and a memory.
