Construction starts this month! Keep an eye out for the amazing work on 3106 Lagrange (next to the Ohio Theatre) as well on the theatre itself as we renovate both spaces and bring them to life!

The peacock and OHIO on the marquee are in homage to the original marquee that was on the theatre when it was first built in 1921. We love our theatre’s history!

Construction or at least demo has finally begun (next door)!

If you don't know, we also bought this building in addition to the Historic Ohio Theatre. Both the theatre and this building are being repaired concurrently. This building will be the new home of Children's Theatre Workshop (Toledo) , who also owns the Historic Ohio Theatre.
The bulk of the construction at the Historic Ohio Theatre is outdoors so that will begin in spring 2025 once temperatures stay to stay consistently warm enough. We are very excited to bring the facade and marquee back to life!

Through the winter, the contruction team will work on the interior of this building next door and then as soon as spring temperatures are warm enough and stable, we hope to be able to start work on the Ohio Theatre facade and marquee.

Our sincerest thanks to Marcy Kaptur for making this all possible!

The Historic Ohio Theatre would like to clear up some confusion around the Shipwreck Saloon and Haunted Tavern events. The theatre has indeed been rented for both of these events. There was some initial confusion on location and dates but it has been corrected and the events will be held Sept 12-14 at our theatre. The renter apologizes for any confusion and we both hope you will come to these great events!

TLDR: These are legitimate events being hosted by The Historic Ohio Theatre.
