North Coast Theatre presents a reading of Henrik Ibsen’s play,
AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE. Finished in 1882, Ibsen referred to it
as “a comedy about a serious subject." In the play, Dr. Stockmann discovers that the water supply for his native town’s new
Baths and Spa is completely tainted: “The water is poison, whether you drink it or bathe in it!” Reaction from the town is swift and damning.
The reading will be presented in the Historic Lobby
of the Oliver House,
27 Broadway, Toledo, Ohio 43604,
Wednesday, January 21, and Thursday, January 29, at 7:30 pm.
The reading lasts approximately ninety minutes.
Tickets are $15 from the Oliver House - $20 at the door. Ticket price includes delightful offerings from the Oliver House menus, coffee, and tap water. There will be a cash bar. Door opens at 7 pm.
