Hawk & Handsaw Theatre Company Professional Black-Box Theatre & Touring Company Our mission is simple: to mount professional, self-contained, black-box productions for the community.

MISSION STATEMENT

We are a collection of Theatre professionals and educators that have made Northwest Ohio and Southeastern Michigan our home. Our goal is to provide both regular and non-regular Theatre-going members of our community exposure to classic and contemporary North American and European Theatre through the words of our greatest poets and playwrights. In addition to our main black box

productions and subsequent school tour, we also hold monthly concert play readings of award winning playwrights, as well as provide performances to retirement communities and hospice centers across the area. We will be receiving our 501(c)(3) not-for-profit professional theatre status and will look to operate under a Small Professional Theatre agreement with the Actors’ Equity Association.
