What is your journey?
This is Harielle Atana-Lindor a fashion designer and this is her journey🖤

“My work:
My BA graduate collection, “This is the Beginning of the End” revolves around the idea that a British subculture is being invaded by Martians. For the collection to be an exploration of myself, I found it important to explore a subculture that does not necessarily represent me. I was intrigued by the importance of Mod culture in British fashion and music. Researching visual references from Mod culture and exploring ways of ‘invading’ the subculture through materialism inspired by the key imagery and themes of the novel.

My journey:
I was born and raised in Minnesota but have lived and studied in London, UK for the last 5 years. Art has always been extremely important in my life, and growing up in a predominantly white area in the midwest, it was sometimes hard to physically be in spaces that reflected me. Moving to London has allowed me to collaborate and work in spaces with other Black people which has a huge influence on the art that I consume and the work that I create.

What does art mean to you?

"What does art mean to me? To me art is one of the highest forms of self expression. It really brings out the inner us. The more we get into it, then the more passionate we are. My journey through photography has brought me places I never thought. It's also led me to some very genuine and interesting people that are in my life. Photography just seems really fitting for me. I've always been observant in random areas. You could consider me to be the fly on the wall. For other artist, I just want to say to let nobody else discourage you from your vision. Your work is the future. No matter how old you are, or how old you get just don't stray away from the path of being the creative being that you are." ~ johnxmalik
