From a mini session with Kim of - some simple, clean portraits and a few in-between shots. Kim’s studio space is a true reflection of her skilled eye and propensity for order and ethos. Each item in her shop is cataloged with accuracy and warmth, and intentionally wrapped before traveling to a new home.
I love witnessing her level of purposefulness. Something I imagine to be both natural and honed from years of tuning into preference, intuition, and studying design.

•Receiving the final seal of authorization in Zen Buddhist tradition•

A collection of photographs from a very memorable day in the Buddhist community. I felt so touched to witness and document this October afternoon.
Following each step, in awe of how the teachers infuse wisdom, playfulness, and wonder into their spaces. This community is so true, warm, and welcoming. And Rev. Do’On Weik Roshi is illuminated in of the shifting of ancient history as a fully transmitted, roshi-level, Inka Shomei.
