Caught over 15 bowfin with 3 of those being over the qualifying sizes. These things are AGGRESSIVE and absolutely murdered my crawdaddies and gobies. These fish are wild and look beautiful with the bright green details. @ Turtle Creek Lake Area

A small piece of the history to the land and water that we use today to relax on and spend hours, days, months and even longer to find our river monsters.

“We were again sent to the Mawme [Maumee] Rapids, with two gun-boats and 11 or 12 pieces of ordnance, and landed about one mile and a half before we came to Fort Maggs [Meigs] on the opposite shore. We then moved to nearly opposite the American fort and began to erect batteries. Our preparations were soon discovered by the enemy, and they endeavoured to annoy us by opening their batteries upon us, but we persevered until we had completed the works, with little or no loss, and then we returned the fire. We had a proof that our guns were doing ex*****on, for one of our officers, with his glass, saw a man employed upon a building in the fort, he supposed he was covering their magazine with turf; this officer pointed out the man to one of our gunners, who took an elevation and discharged the gun; the officer saw the man fall from the building.” – Pvt.
